Then came years of writing and rewriting the script, collecting props and sets, creating a production company, TWIN TOWERS Productions, and craving the sounds of this CD. I listened to it what seemed like a thousand times just to visualize this performance. And, like Professor Harold Hill and his Boys' Band, I was the only one who could see it. And I aimed for the day that even one more person could, too. That day came on September 11th, 2009 when an entire city gave me the use of their 1,200 seat theater: at no charge. And their main stipulation was that the play paid tribute to their local heroes, too. In other words; we, literally, got the show on the road. And now eight years later we are trying, once again, to pick up momentum where we left off. With an aim toward a performance near Ground Zero by the 17th anniversary of 9/11, 2018. If all goes as hoped, our "Secrets Tour Bus" will stage performances in the coming months in this journey to reach this ultimate venue. We have in mind cities along the way who wish to provide this history making production with the same civic hospitality the City of El Cajon, California did and nurture local talent in the process. Maybe very soon "Secrets in the Sand" won't be such a secret anymore.
